Why is the 1.33/1 full frame version of Deep Red (Dario Argento) here on the archive when the widescreen version has been removed presumably because of copyright issues?

Did the different versions have different copyrights?

From Wikipedia:

The original English version is available on VHS and DVD, under the title "Deep Red: The Hatchet Murders". This version of the film is a public domain film.

It might have just slipped past the radar. I don't think the aspect ratio makes a difference when it comes to copyright.

I uploaded a widescreen version and it was brought to my attention that it was a copyrighted director's cut of the film. So be careful when looking for a widescreen print of the film. Make sure it's the same movie besides the aspect ratio.
